Brenna Wells
Artist/owner
My name is Brenna Wells, shop owner and creator of all the pieces offered at stone pony studio. I grew up on the East Coast in the small state of Connecticut, and never left 🤷🏼♀️. My family was always very creative and we all painted, drew, played music and created some form of art. Being in a coastal area I find a lot of my inspiration from the water. I love the sight, sound and smell of the ocean. Over the years I’ve collected treasures found all along the East Coast from Maine to the BVI’s. I frequently use my own treasures in my works of art. You will see a mesh of boho beach inspired meets cowgirl in a lot my pieces. Besides the beach and nature, one of my many passions, has always been horses. At a very young age, I was lucky enough that my mom found a way to trade helping out at a local woman’s farm, in exchange for riding. Every Sunday I would pick paddocks, brush horses, clean what seemed like mountains of carriage driving harnesses and tack for a little time in the saddle, driving small carts and occasionally the sleigh! I learned a lot about hard work and horses, and that drive and passion has stuck with me for life!
I live in the small coastal town of Clinton, CT on our own farm. I share this little piece of heaven with my husband, two Labs, chickens, and our three horses. This was a dream come true that I never thought would happen. And I continue to be inspired by all the sights and sounds of nature.
I also love rodeo and cowboy inspired looks. And I’m a sucker for shiny things! So besides seaglass, copper, feathers & leather you will see a lot of bling, like Swarovski crystals, especially on my leatherwork. And I have earrings that stay put while you’re riding, and look great too! I’m eclectic in style and it’s unique to what I love. I hope you’ll join me on this journey to share my works of art with you, your friends, family and loved ones.
